Back again!
And we got back safely, despite all the maniacs on the motorway...

We had a lovely time, and the weather was much better than forecast. I want to go back again right now, but unfortunately I'm teaching this afternoon. :( Never mind.

If you'd like to see some pretty pics of scenery and lambs and birds, I've done a post on my other blog. I was thinking about doing one here too, but it's much easier to just do one and put a link. So here's the link.

When I get myself together again, sorted new car insurance and so on, there'll be another post about the new things I've made. Baby Elly to go with Mummy Elly; a couple of new teds; some experiments for an exciting new project - am I teasing? Soon...

Must sort out car insurance now. I've just saved £100 by using a comparison site. *rubs hands* All I need to do now is post off the proof of no claims discount. Yay!

Thank you! It's nice to be home again, much as I liked being on holiday. I love your icon!

Ashness Bridge is truly my favourite place on earth! Outstanding beauty, and lots of rocks to scramble over.

Cute lambs, gorgeous pheasant and a very fat little Chaffinch, spring in the Lakes certainly has plenty of wildlife!

Thanks for sharing your photos!

Isn't it beautiful? And so satisfying to walk to. You get quite high above Derwentwater really quickly.

It really is a great time of year to go - not too hot to walk, not too awfully bad weather, and so much going on. I'm glad you enjoyed the pics.

It is. If you come to the UK, the Lake District is such a gorgeous place to visit. It's my spiritual home, I think.
