New Layout!
What do you think? I wanted something lighter and fresher. The blue's nice, and I love the crochet on the header. Not something I made, BTW - a picture from Google.

What I'm not really sure about is the green. Is it wrong, do you think? I wanted a different colour to the blue background, but I'm not really sure I've got it right. Any suggestions? I know there are some wonderfully arty people out there. And if you want to suggest actual hex codes, I'll try them out. (Usually what I do is to set this up in conjunction with GIMP, so I can see what the codes are for the colours I'm trying. Easier than the LJ colour adjuster, I find).

I'm in the throes of a shift in my journal use. I can't write slash anymore. :-( Where once it was an obsession, it's now a vague interest that I can't arouse any energy to follow. I'd like to journal about my life and my crochet more, and this is a great place to do it. There are so many lovely people out there, and I feel at home here. Plus, I have a permanent account - damned if I'm moving elsewhere, whatever the drawbacks of LJ!

The slight difficulty here is that if I'm going to link this site to say, my Folksy shop, then I don't necessarily want all my slash fics on display. You know what I mean? I'm not ashamed of having written them, but the idea of posting them here to start with was that this was a separate place to my real life. It's a good thing, IMO, that I can Google my name and nothing comes up at all. I'm a teacher. Nuff said.

So it's a possibility that all this fic may disappear to From Out of the Lab or Fanfiction.com. It would be a shame (not to mention a mammoth task!) because there are so many lovely comments, but it might be the best solution. Any thoughts? Another possibility is to have different levels of access - customize the friends list. Does anyone still read my fics? Would anyone object to it all being f-locked?

The MRI went well, BTW. Thanks for the good wishes. In my mind, I was in a lovely park, snoozing in the sun.

I still reread your fics. They're too good not to go back to them every so often! Whatever you decide to do with them is your decision, but I would definitely like to continue to read them.

Ooo! It's lovely to know that people still read them sometimes. I don't want to get rid of them - I'm still quite attached. Not surprising after all the work that went into them. Anyhow, I'm thinking of leaving this journal as it is and carrying on using it as a diary, plus getting a blog from Google to run alongside my Folksy shop, so it's completely separate from this. I'll post here when I've sorted things out.

Oh, I love the new layout! Makes me think of spring :)

I'd also be still interested in re-reading some of your old fics (I'm feeling nostalgic every once in a while, heh). Perhaps you could create a custom friends group?

Thank you! I'm still tweaking the colours a little, but it's time for spring.

I'm probably going to leave this journal as it is with the fics, possibly with friends groups, and get a blog from Google to go alongside the Folksy shop. Seems safest to keep things separate.

That's a possibility, as is getting a Dreamwidth account. Thanks for the invite. Haven't done anything about it yet, because I'm still considering things. I might get a Google blog so that it's totally separate.

Take care!

I still read your fics - I'd love it if I could carry on reading them. The green looks great too, by the way :)
