There is fic on the horizon! It's coming along, after a major writing hiatus.

It's a longish fic, a ghost story, a mystery, an adventure, a romance. No wonder it's taking so long, if it's all that! I've just finished the first draft of Chapter 9 today. lausi_gm, it'll be coming along to you as soon as I've hammered it into shape. There will probably be another four or five chapters after this.

I'll probably start posting it when I've done Chapter 11, I reckon. It's not really fair to post something that just runs out midway, IMO, or something that hits a blank at an important point. I've read too many fics that don't finish. Frustrating!

So it's on its way. Probably my last major Miami fic. I've kind of lost interest in the show.

Oddly enough, as my interest wanes, my husband has developed a passion for Natalia. Hmm...

And I see that I've sung the praises of my dentist pretty thoroughly recently. He is wonderful, but two things bother me just a little.

Firstly, his 'intercom' system. He's upstairs, the reception is downstairs. When one patient comes downstairs, the receptionist bellows up from the desk, "Ready, Malc?" A cheap and effective intercom. (But maybe someone who's going to be poking around in your mouth with sharp things shouldn't be called Malc, in the same way as an airline pilot shouldn't be referred to as "Kev". Another story...)

And then there are all the resuscitation certificates on the wall. Makes me want to run away.

And one more thing - you can get Daleks to ride in! Look! They're for age 3 and over. Do you think that includes middle-aged women with big bums?

It's a-coming. Just need to type the final bit up and hammer it into shape. I have got back into it indeed. It's a fab idea for a story, but the waning star of the Miami fandom makes me wonder if anyone will read it but you and me. *shrugs* I guess I'm writing it because it needs writing.

Looking forward to Loyalties. Love your writing! It's just about the only thing I read from this fandom any more. *sighs* There was a day there would be new fic every day...

Yes, Malc's dental surgery is kind of basic. *lol* He's such a good dentist, he makes up for it though. (I once had a dentist who would lay out all his tools on my chest before starting. Now that was weird.)

And yes, Natalia. He says she has a pretty face. *nods*

I know what you mean about not wanting to post stories until you've finished them... I think I once posted a WIP and then it took me ages to actually finish it (well, at least I finished it... but still, not doing that again!)

OMG! Daleks to ride in? So cool! Perhaps we could convince them to make one for adults as well? ;) But hm... it says 3 years and over. We definitely fit into that category, don't we? LOL!

There was a wonderful story called 'Out With It' - Ryan and Greg - that never finished and I was so upset! It was a real inspiration for me, but it taught me to finish things I start.

Are you talking about 'Home For the Holidays'? I loved that! So pleased you finished it. :)

I certainly fit into the 3 yrs and over. I qualify! (Not sure about my husband. Not sure about men in general...) (Age-wise, that is.)

Yeah, it sucks when you're hooked on a story and are dying to find out what happens next, and then suddenly it just stops :(

Hehe, yes, that's the one. I'm also glad I finished it. If I remember correctly you were actually part of the reason I kept going! :)

LOL! I suddenly get this mental image of all these grown-up women squeezing themselves into those Daleks, driving around and bumping into each other XD (and yes, that mental image includes me!)
