Criminal Minds
Anyone out there watch Criminal Minds? Unfortunately UK TV doesn't show it on any free-to-air channels, so I rely on the DVD packs. I'm on Season 5, and I've just watched episode 18 - The Fight. That's the one where Forest Whitaker shows up as a maverick agent.

It's so obvious that his team's being set up for a spin-off series. Anyone know if that took off at all? We get no news on that show at all here. It's really frustrating. All the money they throw at Big Brother and its accompanying crap, and they can't buy a good show like that. *rant, rant*

*raises hand* I watch it... mostly whenever I'm able to catch it on German telly, but I watched the first season on DVD a while ago. I'll probably get my hands on the rest of DVDs eventually ;) It's just nicer to watch the episodes whenever one feels like it, isn't it? (or to watch several episodes in a row, ahem...)

As for the spin-off - I think I saw the first episode of that last night. Hm, I just checked, there are 13 episodes of the spin-off (Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior), but it wasn't continued.

I watched the first season and it really grabbed me, but that was the only one UK TV has shown on a free-to-air channel, and I am not going to pay their extortionate prices for the few shows I want to watch. DVDs are much better. Several episodes in a row - yes, you're not the only one...

Will have to check on that spin-off. I can't say I like the team as much as the original, but they might grow on me.

Another reason I prefer DVDs is that I get to watch the shows in English instead of the German dubbed version.

Hm, I spent way too much money this month already, but maybe next month I'll order some more DVDs... hehe.

Re: Hello!
I love CM! And Reid is just sweeet! Just shows you don't have to be a hunk.

It so looked like a set-up. Like I say, we get no news at all on this show here, so I'll have to investigate myself.

The spin-off was Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior. I didn't think it was anything special and I lost interest in it after a few episodes. It was canceled in the spring.

Right. It didn't look too special, and the whole set-up thing was so obvious. I'm not sure viewers have the appetite for spin-offs any more. The original shows are always best. Maybe we've got wise to them.

I watch it also and as far as I know the spin-off was canceled since Criminal Minds as a loyal fan base and many where not happy with the show trying to become a franchise as far as I know

Yes, I guess they were trying to follow the CSI example. The originals always end up best though, don't they? Or am I offending a die-hard NY fan? *hides*

lol I personally thought miami was better than the original csi but then again i stopped watching them and watch NY every once and a while
its true even when the other team came on the original criminal minds I knew i wasn't going to like it so i didnt bother

Me too. It's so good. You'll have to rely on DVDs over here though, or pay for Sky TV. *kicks stupid TV companies*

It was so lame! And Prentiss would never put herself in the line of fire like that! Just so the goofy Brit could save her. *grumbles*

BTW, re the Brit, he does actually turn out to be British! I was listening to him and mentally grumbling about the crap British accents that American actors put on (I'm talking about you, Travers from CSI:Miami), and it turns out the actor is British, born around Liverpool! No way was that a Liverpool accent, though! It was more Irish than anything. Maybe the Americans wouldn't notice.

Not sure I'd be bothered about DVDs for the spin-off. Like I've got time to get involved in any more shows, anyway!
